Have you ever been humming or thinking of a song, then when you get in the car and turn on the radio THAT song is playing?? Surely you've have moments of deja vu or felt as if maybe you had been somewhere before. Most of us have, and some of us have learned how to tap into the amazing power of intuition and let it guide us like a loving hand. For years I walked around thinking I was the center of the universe. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't an ego maniac running around hurting people on purpose. I just simply didn't know any other way! I would achieve great accomplishments but was always left feeling unsatisfied. I looked at life through a "what's in it for me" lens. I had no comparison of
what a real, spiritual guided life full of self-enlightenment looked or felt like. I had NO basis for comparison. Today I am as happy as ever! Everything I needed to achieve happiness was already inside me, right there waiting to be discovered!!! A few years ago I was helping a friend who was going through a really rough time. The friend had struggled a lot with alcohol and addiction in the past, something I've overcome myself, and as far as I knew, he was doing great. At least I hadn't heard from him in several weeks. I did know that he had started a new job but I wasn't really sure where it was. One Saturday, my wife and step kids were on the way to the funeral for my wife's brother who had just pasted away from a short fight with cancer. The funeral was on the opposite side of town about 45 mintues from our house. About 10 minutes from the funeral home my cell phone rings. I notice it's my friend. I realized I hadn't heard from him in a while and picked up the phone. He was at work and in pretty bad shape emotionally. He was really upset and was wanting to go down the street to the liquor store and throw away all the progress he had made. I asked him where he was at (remember, I had no idea where he was working at the time), he said, "I'm at 135th and Johnson." At that very moment, I looked up as we drove through an intersection, the sign above the intersection flashed in front of me, 135th and Johnson!!! I was able to stop by and help out my friend and he's still doing great today! These types of guided moments happen almost every day! It's as if I'm being guided through life by a loving hand.
